Pre-Production

I learned how to use Adobe After Effects. I made the edit below using the effects of scale, rotation and opacity. I used keyframes on the batman logo to rotate it fully twice. I also made it fade into frame and expand in size.
In Adobe After Effects i created my 'How To' video introduction. Similar to the batman logo edit below, I used the rotation tool as well as the position tool. I made each word and image rotate into frame and then pause for a bit before ending. I'm planning to eventually fade it out and add music to the background. Having the words moving into frame makes the introduction more alive and exciting.
Final Evaluation
In media we have covered a lot of things. Some examples of things that have helped me are sound, adobe editing softwares, lighting and camera angles. I have learned what is good or bad lighting to film including where the lights should be positioned for different camera shots. Adobe software such as Premiere Pro and Audition helped me edit my how to video and the voiceover I recorded on top. I made my intro on Adobe After effects and I personally drew my outro on an app called 'sketch'.
Having more knowledge on camera angles have helped me make my video more interesting and easier to film, so I know where to point the camera and whether to use a close up shot or extreme close up, which I used a lot. I found the filming and voice recording aspect of this project easier than I first anticipated, having always been inspired by media. I think if I were to re-film and record I would make my voice sound more confident. I would also make sure I'm more familiar with the editing software. One thing I struggled with on this project was the deadlines. Next time I'm going to try and manage my time better. When I hopefully get access to Adobe software at home, I will be able to work more efficiently in my spare time too.
Some things I've included in my video from Premiere Pro is an arrow indicating to he battery sign at 0.22 seconds and circles highlighting what I'm talking about at 0:30 seconds, 0:54 seconds and 1:04. At 0:03 seconds I added a blurred background because I filmed that shot in portrait mode and it did not fit the rest of the video. At 0:15 seconds I used a pan and scan that I learnt in class to make it more obvious and clear which part of the recorder I was on about. I used the camera shot 'dolly' at 0:48 seconds, which I also learnt in class. To record the footage I used the camera on my iPhone SE2 and to record my voiceover I used a Rode NT1A microphone.
