This Video was good as the guy in the video knew what he was talking about. He explained everything well and was very engaging. He made the video short and not boring. He added comedy to make the video more entertaining. The structure of this video is good and is recorded in a good order. he starts with a short simple verbal introduction explaining the importance of sound quality. He uses a creative approach to show the equipment. First he uses music to give a quick pan round of the two pieces of equipment. Then he uses what I assume to be PNG images to show a better image of the blue snowball microphone and the pop filter. He adds a shadow to the images to separate them from the background. He also adds a fun 'pop' sound effect when the images appear on screen. One negative I would say about this video is he could have used a bigger variety of camera angles.
The reason I only marked this as average, is that it mainly only focuses on one camera angle, birds-eye shot. Everything was properly explained and labelled. The video is not too long, therefore, not too boring. If I was to improve tis video, I would add more camera angles and a more exciting background. I think if the audience could see the person presenting, the video would be more entertaining and engaging. The man in the video talks in an engaging tone, which helps to make a good quality how to video.
This video certainly went into detail about how to use the h4n but the video is one hour long. This makes viewers uninterested and more likely to click off the video when there are 5 minute videos that teach you the same things. The guys voice makes him sound fairly bored which will carry into the video, making the video seem more boring regardless of the bright thumbnail and graphics. While holding the sound recorder, his hand was shaky, making it hard to see what he's exactly showing us, thus making the video bad quality. There isn't many exciting graphics such as bright colours or catchy music, making the video seem even more un-interesting.
