Camera Angles

Extreme Close Up
This is a camera angle that focuses on one part of somebody's face, in this case, the eyes. It can be very useful to show emotion.

Close Up
This camera angle is focused on the whole of somebody's face. It can also portray emotion very well.

Medium Close Up
A medium close up shot is targeted at a subjects shoulders and head. This is my favourite shot for focusing on one person.

Medium Shot
This shot captures somebody from the waist up.

Medium Full Shot
This shot shows a person from the knees up.

Full Shot
This shot shows a persons full body. It is good to show multiple people in a scene.

Dutch Angle
A dutch angle can be as close up or far away as you want, as long as it is at a 30-45 degree tilt.

Low Angle
This shows a subject from a low angle. This is used for villains and is great to make someone seem more powerful and/or sinister

High Angle
Someone being shot from a high angle will appear smaller and therefore more vulnerable.

Establishing Shot
This shot appears at the beginning of a scene to show you where the next scene will take place.
